Is Coaching Biblical?
This should be one of the first questions you ask before you do anything in life. Although the word “Coach” or “Coaching” is not mentioned in the Bible, it is in fact at the very heart of our Heavenly Father.
Living Your Purpose Coaching and Training Centre founder, Dianne DeJong, came across this very question when she started her journey of Life Purpose Coaching… is coaching really Biblical Lord? Determined not to move on until she found her answer, she was prompted by the Holy Spirit to read through the Bible cover to cover and record all the questions; the questions God asked in the Old Testament and the questions Jesus asked in the New Testament. She couldn’t believe her eyes! From the beginning of time, God had used questions to help mankind in the discovery of who HE was and their God-given purpose on earth and for all of eternity.
Dianne had found her God-given confidence in scripture. The very place we should look for all of our answers. She was filled with excitement and passion that she hadn’t felt in years. She finished her Life Purpose Coaching Training and has now been coaching and teaching for over 10 years! What a testimony of God’s desire to reveal His heart towards us!
About the curriculum
Coaching as Jesus Coached is at the heart of our Coaches Training. After becoming a Certified Lifetime Coaching Instructor with Life Purpose Coaching Centres International, our founder Dianne DeJong had a dream to write her very own Coaching Curriculum. Based on her journey of searching the Bible to make sure Life Coaching was Biblical, the training was birthed. Together, with the Holy Spirit, Dianne DeJong and Kaylee Shirk created and launched LYP's Life Purpose and Life Plan Coach Training Certification in the Spring of 2018.
